Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms apply to pickersdesk.com and to the reports and emails we send, including The Turnover and Permit Watch (together, the "service"). Picker's Desk is a trade name of Global Qwest, Inc. ("we," "us"). By subscribing to or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the service is
We collect information from public records published by government agencies and organize it into reports about businesses, licenses and building permits. The service is for business use by people 18 and older.
2. Accuracy and no advice
Reports reflect public records as the agency published them on a given date. We don't independently verify them. Agency records can be incomplete, wrong, delayed or later changed, and a filing doesn't guarantee that a business will open, close, change hands or that any project will proceed or still be open to bids. Always confirm details before acting. Reports are general business information, not legal, financial, investment or professional advice. See About our data for how we sort records.
3. Free and paid plans
The weekly email is currently free. When paid plans are offered, the price, billing period and what's included will be shown before you buy. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you've paid for; we don't give partial refunds for unused time unless the law requires it. A founding-member price stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active without interruption. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before any other price change applies to you.
4. How you may use reports
You may use reports for your own business, including contacting the businesses listed. You may forward an individual email to a colleague or contact. You may not resell, republish, bulk-redistribute or make reports publicly available, scrape the website, or use the service to build a competing product.
5. Contacting businesses you find
You're responsible for how you use the information, including following anti-spam, telemarketing, do-not-call, privacy and anti-harassment laws when you contact anyone listed in a report. Don't use the service to harass, discriminate against or harm anyone.
6. Our content
The underlying public records belong to the public. Our selection, organization, descriptions, design and branding are ours and are protected by law.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages, or for decisions made using the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
9. Ending service
You can unsubscribe or cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated, or change or discontinue any part of the service; if we discontinue a paid plan, we'll refund any prepaid time you haven't used.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. We'll email subscribers about material changes before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
