About Picker's Desk

Good leads shouldn't cost a fortune.

Picker's Desk turns public records into short, plain-English lead lists for small local businesses, at a price a small shop can justify.

Why we exist

Every week, cities and the state publish who is opening a restaurant, who just bought one, which kitchens closed, and which buildings are about to be built out. It's public, and it's some of the best sales information there is. But it's scattered across government sites, published in raw form, and gone from many of them within a day.

Big companies pay sales teams and data services hundreds of dollars a month to dig through it. The small shops that do most of the actual work, the six-person refrigeration company or the family-run equipment dealer, usually find out last. We think that's backwards.

Who we serve

Independent businesses with roughly 3 to 30 people that sell to other local businesses:

If you're the owner who also answers the phone and runs the estimates, this was built for you.

How we keep it affordable

We're deliberately small. Collection, cleanup and delivery are automated, so there's no sales team or call center to pay for. That lets us charge a fraction of what the big data services do, without cutting corners on accuracy.

What we promise

Who's behind it

I'm Roger Billeci. I run a small contracting business in the East Bay, so I know what it's like to compete with bigger outfits for the same jobs. Picker's Desk is the tool I wanted: early, honest, local leads without the enterprise price tag. Every email comes from me, and every reply reaches me.
