How to read the result
Status and dates
CLEAR is CSLB's word for a license with no current disciplinary or suspension marks on the public record. The expiration date is the renewal date, not a verdict on the work.
Bond and workers' comp
"Bond on file" means CSLB's list shows a contractor bond with no cancellation date. The workers' comp line is CSLB's coverage type: an insurance policy, a certificate of self-insurance, or an exemption (no employees declared).
